solid space
Two-week successive exercise to Giorgio Morandi & the Loop / an introduction to a entirely divergent method of making: casting.
Space can be solidifed through cast. When it cures, it can be held.
For two weeks, we cast the inverse of our previous models. Our “space” materializes before us, naked and bashful to our critique. Did we create voids just as curated as the mass? We scuff our feet in agitation. No, no.
But we’ve investigated two methods of making: the layered accumulation of space, and now the liquidization of it.
